We have a great
project planned for our next Central Ar Woodcarvers meeting. So, plan to attend
on Saturday, November 16, 2013. We begin at 9:00am and will be meeting at the
home/shop of
Jay Weaver.
Jay's address is: 9419 Centennial Road. (Directions, Take Hwy 107 past Gravel
Ridge, past the back gate of the Air Force Base, you cross Hwy 89, go past Bayo
Meto Elementary School and then turn left at the Sorer Daves Filling Station
onto Centennial Road . It is the 4th house on the left---Brown Brick with Red
Pick up in the Front, turn into the gate immediately past the house and park
just past the shop.) Copy of the map is attached. If you get lost just call
Jay at 501-988-1352.
We will be using
Jay's Band Saw to cut out blanks from squares of wood, the original
blanks......Bud Richards is furnishing the wood and we will all have an
opportunity to learn the method of carving from a band saw blank.
