Next Meeting & Carving Class April 5-6

We have a Carving Class scheduled for Saturday, April 5th and Sunday afternoon April 6th at First Christian Church of Sherwood.  Club members selected the pattern, it's a Civil War Soldier-12 inches tall.  Cost of the Rough-out (Heinke cut them close....) is $28.00 (a bit larger than we usually carve).

Tuition is $40.

We will begin on Saturday at 9 am and wrap up by 4:30 pm.  We will get started on Sunday at 1:30 pm and finish up by 4:30 pm.  Maximum capacity for this class is 12, so please email or call to hold your spot.

This is a great deal on a carving class with minimal expenses, taught by Roger. We will be meeting in the main Church building, and you can park in the back on the west end to enter. Hope to see ya there!

March Meeting on the 8th

We will be meeting at First Christian Church of Sherwood, on March 8th, 9:00-12:00. (Thanks to Mike Pounders for arranging our meeting space!  Fred could not get the Electric Cooperative as another meeting was already scheduled...really appreciate Mike stepping in....)  

Bring your finished pieces for a "show and tell" time and your current projects for carving time.  We will discuss and set a date for an April week-end class.  Look forward to seeing you!!!

February 15th Meeting!

At our January meeting we decided to set a regular meeting date of the third Saturday of each month.  So....our February meeting is Saturday, February 15, 2014.  We'll be at the First Electric Cooperative in Jacksonville.  Come ready to carve and share your work.  With all the ice and snow, there's been lots of indoor time to finish up some woodcarvings.

January Meeting

Woodcarving friends, let's get together this Saturday, January 18, 2014 for our first meeting of the new year.  Fred Nahlen has made arrangements for us to meet at the First Electric Cooperative in Jacksonville.  We'll get started at 9!  Bring something to work on and the many pieces you completed while snowed and iced in............See you on Saturday!

"December Meeting"

It's the Holiday Season....so join us for some Hot Chocolate and Christmas Goodies as we share our carvings! Our December Woodcarvers meeting will be on Saturday, December 7th at 9:00am. We will be at the Jacksonville Electric Cooperative Building. Bring some "goodies" both the eatable kind and your carvings for "show and tell" time.......
